she is home! the good and the not so good.

Pa went to greet the family at airport on saturday.  apparently AG slept a few hours on the flight not very much.  She was happy and glad to see me.  I am not sure what she thought of america as we introduced her to her new world such as mini van, car seat, English, etc.  We enjoyed a brief visit to the arboretum on the way home. Took pictures with her and flowers and trees.  She seemed happy.  We got home and explored our house, front yard, back yard (she wanted to use slides in our neighbors' yards!), basement, upstair, etc.  did not want pizza for dinner, only wanted yogurt and bananas!  she had fun in bath and went promptly to bed and slept 16 hours!
woke up not feeling well, vomited numerous times on sunday, did not want to eat, and was really tired and not her energetic self.  But Pa and Ma took turns watching videos with AG and taking care of the house hold issues (laundry, unpack, etc).  By afteroon AG was better and had a good visit with Pa's folks but still did not eat much (2 strawberries.) she wanted to have someone to play with her constantly probably she is use to having alot of playmates and "aunties" to engage with her at the foster home.  grandpa and grandma seemed to have a good time with her, good to have them talk to her in Chinese.
Then came the melt down at bed time.  she cried for a long time in bed and refused to sleep.  again not sure what this is all about.  listening to her cry is a bit stressful at the home, especially when Ma is trying her best to calm her.
People ask "how come you are not blogging more?" I think the simple answer is that there is not much time.  unpacking physically and emotionally from a trip like this is going to take some....time.  So, we will blog more as....time permits. Pa
