Monday 4/5/2010 a day at Safari Animal Park

Today was a good day--we went to Guangzhou Safari Animal Park all day-- no nap--again! AG did well and loved it!! We met   2 friends of my aunt who live here,  and they were great with AG--thanks for all your help P and K!!  AG had a large tiger come right up to glass where she was and wasn't afraid--she later was doing tiger impersonations on subway on way home, charming people!  They have kiddie rides--got to go with MY DAUGHTER on merry go round for first time,  up and down plane ride,  and elevated train--she loved!  They have many pandas from panda presereve in Szechwan destroyed in earthquake--cool!  and always love monkies!  We shared ice cream for 1st time too--thanks grandma!  My mom is having an amazing trip too--and keeping up quite well.  She enjoyed the 5 days she had visiting her sister in Macau while we were in Henan,  and being able to see Great wall with her family of 16--see great wall post.  My aunt has filled Pa's shoes as in room translator since Friday night,  but goes home 2morrow.  AG loves to sit on her lap and read books with her,  B translated English books into Chinese--especially If YOu Give a MOose a Muffin!  We got back to room after 8 after another late dinner,  but after bath and book from aunt (ai) B,  she went right down to sleep!!!  YEA!  My mom and I ,  though are looking forward to a little less structure,  less planned acitvity next 3 days.  We have something with consulate every day--only part of day.  Oh,  the box of Rice Krispies square snacks I brought have been a big hit--great for impromptu snacks when meals are late,  but I am tired of her asking for " chip ee gon" or something,  (cookie) even right when she gets back to room after big breakfast buffet!!
Please continue to pray for us--have consulate appointment 4/6 and visa application for US visa for AG (traveling with Chinese passport) 4/7.  Pray for continued adjustment and stamina for my mom and I,  and that we will do fine without in room translator--but I am doing pretty well--better than most adoptive parents,  with my old and new chinese.  Hopefully Pa can post some more pics--we will post new after I get home,  I don't have the technical prowess or time to download pics from camera!
